SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Music icon Sting has been announced as the opening night headliner for a concert series in San Francisco next year set to coincide with the Bay Area's hosting of Super Bowl LX. The 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist is to perform Friday, Feb. 6 at SF's Palace of Fine Arts.
Sting's appearance kicks off "Super Bowl LX Studio 60," a weekend-long concert series being mounted at the venue by On Location, the official hospitality provider of the NFL. The former Police frontman will be joined by his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas for the concert, which will see him perform celebrated hits from his extensive catalog.
