INDIANAPOLIS — The Washington Square Mall on Indy's far east side is now for sale , City-County Councilor Michael-Paul Hart (R-District 20) confirmed to 13News.

Hart said there are no official bidders yet, but he is talking with people who are interested. He also said that there will be public meetings in the future on the mall.

Hart said since he was first elected, this has been a growing issue of his constituents.

"Folks have been really upset about the condition of the mall for a long period of time, really just how it's been degrading. There's not a whole lot of positive activity coming in from storefronts," Hart said in a previous interview with 13News .
