The New England Patriots have reached agreement with Marcus Jones on a contract extension, the organization announced Tuesday. As first reported by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, it is a three-year deal for the all-purpose cornerback.
Jones, who turned 27 this October, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next March. The former All-American and Paul Hornung Award winner via Troy and Houston is now signed through the 2028 season. Voted team captain out of training camp for head coach Mike Vrabel’s 6-2 roster, his Patriots tenure spans 39 games and 19 starts.
