One of the Patriots ‘ early-season playmakers is set to stay at Foxborough for a little while longer.
Cornerback Marcus Jones, who has two interceptions so far in 2025 and has made plays for New England’s secondary on several occasions, has signed a contract extension, according to the Patriots .
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the length of the extension is three years per multiple sources .
Jones, 27, was in the final year of his rookie contract, and was set to become an unrestricted free agent. Now, he will be locked in to help first-year head coach Mike Vrabel’s defense as it tries to help build on the team’s 6-2 start.
