YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - After a dominant 34-point homecoming victory over Murray State, No. 18 Youngstown State University now faces its toughest test yet this week as it travels to No. 1 North Dakota State.
"They're the mark everyone strives for with national championships and undefeated ranked number one, it's a great challenge for our young men," YSU head coach Doug Phillips said. "But again, focusing on what we need to do. I'm always excited to see from practice to the game, and we still got three days of practice to get this team ready to play in a hostile environment against the best team in the country."
YSU is hopeful its current two-game win streak can roll over into Saturday's matchup in Fargo, where these two last met in 2022.
