A Papa Gino’s pizzeria shuttered in Hyde Park over the weekend, leaving only one location of the Massachusetts chain left in Boston proper.
The closure at 1270 River Street was first reported by local news blog Universal Hub . A spokesperson for New England Authentic Eats LLC, the corporate entity that owns Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, confirmed the closure on Tuesday.
“After much consideration, we decided to close the restaurant as part of a broader effort to focus our resources on other areas of our business,” the spokesperson said over email. “We’re incredibly thankful to our employees, guests, and the local community for their support.”
Now the only Boston-proper Papa Gino’s left is in Dorchester, 748 Gallivan Boulevard , along with more than 100 locations
