Patriots receive lower trade grade after reported Keion White deal : The Patriots reportedly agreed to a pair of trades on Tuesday, with both defensive end Keion White and safety Kyle Dugger heading elsewhere.
The decision to trade White — who, per multiple reports, was dealt to the 49ers in exchange for a sixth and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 — has received scrutiny from NFL analysts.
White, 26, had five sacks in 2024 as part of a much more active role in New England’s defense. This season has been a different story, as he was a healthy scratch in the recent win over the Browns.
ESPN NFL analyst Seth Walder gave New England’s front office a harsh grade for the deal: C- (contrasted with the A- he gave the 49ers).
“It was clear White fell out of favor in New England,” Walder
