All charges against a Loveland man who was accused of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault were dismissed in July “in the interest of justice,” said Kylie Massman, communications and community engagement specialist for the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Albert Alvarez-Guzman, 31, was arrested April 25, 2024 in connection to an April 3 robbery on the 1600 block of East 16th Street. Three residents were robbed, pepper sprayed, and one person was stabbed; they were treated and released, and no other victims were reported, according to a Loveland Police Department release.
Alvarez-Guzman was supposed to stand trial in July in front of 8th Judicial District Court Judge Joseph Findley, but instead his charges were dismissed July 11.
