LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said a 37-year-old woman was arrested for murder after she gave a man a fatal dose of fentanyl.

Courtney Boone was arrested Monday night in connection with a 26-year-old man's overdose death earlier this year near London, Kentucky.

LCSO said its investigation determined Boone provided the victim with a dose of fentanyl in the form of meth in a pipe. They said the county coroner's office verified the fatal dose of fentanyl.

Boone was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center.
