AUBURN — Ashton Daniels stayed at the ready for Auburn football the past seven games, after transferring in from Stanford with the understanding he'd likely back up Jackson Arnold at quarterback all season.
But that changed in Game 8. Daniels saw the field for the first time this regular season, replacing Arnold and playing a little more than one half. He helped the Tigers secure a 33-24 comeback victory at Arkansas on Saturday, Oct. 25.
"It meant a lot just to go out there and being down 11 at the half and coming back, just fighting and battling, sticking in there," Daniels said Tuesday, Oct. 28. "We fought so hard, so I think that's a huge testament of all the work we put in. It finally went our way."
