PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The Trump administration is changing up leadership at nearly half of its Immigration and Customs Enforcement field offices as federal officials look to increase deportation rates, according to CBS.
Sources told CBS that roughly a dozen of the 25 local ICE leaders could be reassigned and replaced by officials at Customs and Border Protection. Both agencies are a part of DHS, but perform different functions.

This change comes as the Trump administration continues to rely upon Border Patrol officials, including Commander Gregory Bovino, to crack down on illegal immigration in Democratic-led cities across the country.
