CHICAGO — A show of support Tuesday for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers losing pay due to the government shutdown.
Free meals will be provided to TSA agents at O'Hare International Airport in Terminal 2 starting at 1 p.m.
The meals were prepared early Tuesday morning at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin.
The event was organized by the American Federation of Government Employees Local 777, a labor union representing federal government employees, including TSA agents in the Chicago area.
The union says without their regular pay, TSA workers are struggling to pay for things like housing, transportation, and groceries — and that these meals can help struggling workers as the government shutdown continues.
