A man has been arrested after at least 16 tire-slashing reports over the weekend in North Vancouver.
North Van RCMP said the series of slashings in the Lynn Valley area happened on Saturday and Sunday.
Most occurred between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. mainly along Kirkstone Road, Viewlynn Drive, Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway. Investigators think there are also unreported cases.
Surveillance video helped police identify a suspect, who is being held in custody.
“Our investigators conducted an extensive neighbourhood canvass in an effort to advance this investigation,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak. “We’re urging residents to contact police if they’ve had their tires slashed so we can better understand and track these reports.”
