City of Vancouver residents will be able to learn more about plans to significantly increase the size of towers at the Heather Lands development at an information session next month at the VanDusen Botanical Garden.
The Nov. 20 public session, from 5-8 p.m., will examine an application by MST Development Corporation and Aquilini Development to increase the allowable height of some buildings on the 21-acre site from 28 storeys to 46 storeys. This would result in a significant increase in density, growing from 2,612 units to 4,250 units.
The maximum allowable height would rise from 304 feet to 463 feet.
The first Heather Lands development proposal was approved by the City of Vancouver on May 24, 2022 and is a joint venture of the Musqueam Indian Band, Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh
