The National Weather Service released a coastal flood advisory at 10:52 a.m. on Tuesday valid from Wednesday noon until Thursday 8 p.m. for Ocean, Atlantic and Burlington counties.

The weather service describes, “Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.”

“At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible,” states the weather service. “A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected.
