A Coastal Flood Advisory remains until 8 PM this evening for the Northern Outer Banks. 1-2 feet of inundation above ground level with higher rainfall amounts possible. Watch for overwash that could impact part of Highway 12. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for both Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands until 8 PM this evening. Water levels will run 2-3 feet above normal.

Rain will be off and throughout the day as we stay in the 60s for the afternoon. Some showers bring a few downpours at times, but they ease up later in the evening. Heading into the overnight and pre-sunrise hours of Thursday, a cold front will bring showers and a few thunderstorms to the area.
