Hyderabad: In a boost to the ruling Congress, members of the Kamma community announced their support to it for the upcoming Jubile Hill by election. Members of the community, which is a dominant caste (in Andhra), met chief minister Revanth Reddy and brought to his attention about their problems and also a few demands.
In the meeting with the CM on Tuesday, October 28, Kamma community leaders requested him to also install ‘Matinee Idol’ and former Andhra Pradesh (joint) CM NT Rama Rao’s statue at Maitri Vanam , Ameerpet in Hyderabad. The Kamma community in Hyderabad is also concentrated in between the Ameerpet and Kukatpally-Srilingampally areas.
According to a press release from Revanth Reddy’s office, community members who met the CM also appealed to give due priority to the community
