AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - The Richmond County Coroner's Office confirmed it responded in reference to a body found in Augusta on Tuesday.
According to the coroner's office in a statement on Oct. 28, the body was found in a wooded area off the 2400 block of Bahama Drive. The coroner stated the body "was there for a few days."
The identification of the deceased person will be released once a positive ID has been made and the next of kin has been notified.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
According to the coroner, no foul play is suspected.
