Mädchen Amick is pulling double duty on “ Brilliant Minds ,” with Amick set to both guest star in an episode and direct another.

Variety has learned exclusively that Amick will direct episode 7 of the NBC medical drama’s second season, which will air on Nov. 3. She will then guest star in episode 9, “The Fire Fighter,” which airs Nov. 24.

As previously announced, Eric Dane will guest star in the same episode as a firefighter with ALS. Amick will play Alicia Ramati, who is described as “a strong-willed woman who wears her emotions on her sleeve, especially when it comes to her firefighting ex-husband, Matthew (Dane). She’s not afraid to state her opinion and care for the ones she loves.”
