MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A Milwaukee business owner is in Jamaica sheltering from Hurricane Melissa.

Nadine Dixon owns MoBay Cafe in Walker’s Point, a restaurant inspired by the food in the Caribbean and Jamaica. Dixon and her brother, Shane Johnson, were in Jamaica for her grandmother’s funeral on Saturday, Oct. 25. Dixon’s flight back to the U.S. was cancelled because of the storm.

"Obviously, we can’t tell Mother Nature what to do,” Dixon said. “I was aware of the tropical storm, obviously we didn’t know it was going to turn into a hurricane, especially a Category 5 hurricane.”
