A Gold Rush-era home, documented as Alameda’s oldest, is for sale for $1.395 million.

The home was built in 1854, just four years after California became a state and fewer than 500 people lived on the island, according to the Alameda Historical Society.

The six-bedroom, five-bath Webster Home has been well preserved and touts a vintage exterior. It also has wood floors, a fireplace with a Victorian-style insert, a formal living room and a detached studio with a full bath, among many other amenities.
