WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Attorney General Josh Kaul announced a lawsuit Tuesday, Oct. 28 along with 22 other attorneys general.
The lawsuit claims it is unlawful to end FoodShare benefits and is calling on the Trump administration to use emergency funds for the program.
In Wisconsin, about 689,000 people use FoodShare each month. AG Kaul says pantries and food banks will be overwhelmed if the benefits do not stay in place.
We spoke to one mom in Milwaukee Tuesday afternoon about the impact of losing FoodShare benefits. She has a 2-year-old son with a disability and uses FoodShare to keep him healthy.
"No family should go hungry, said Bianca Williams, mother. "No family should go without these SNAP benefits. I know so many other children would be affected by this -- going to school
