CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 4:44 p.m. 10/28/25] The person of interest has been located and taken into custody for questioning by officials.

[UPDATE 11:24 a.m. 10/28/25] The Chatham County Police Department released more details after a homicide Monday night .

Police said they found a 59-year-old woman dead inside an apartment in the 100 block of Oyster Shell Road. The woman appears to have been stabbed to death, police say.

Police identified the victim’s son 37-year-old Addison Martinez, as the person of interest in this case. He was believed to be driving
