Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer is in stable condition and recovering well from a spleen injury, Twenty20 captain Suryakumar Yadav said on Tuesday.

Iyer suffered a lacerated spleen during India's victory over Australia in the third one-day international on Saturday when he fell awkwardly while taking a catch to dismiss Alex Carey.

The 30-year-old was admitted to hospital and Indian media reported that his condition was life-threatening.
