MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that happened over a month ago at the Hilltop Apartment complex, according to the Madison Police Department.
Law enforcement confirmed to WCTV via email on Tuesday that they arrested a teenager on Oct. 21 and charged them with second-degree murder with discharge of a firearm causing great bodily harm.
The shooting unfolded at about 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, and the victim was a James Madison Preparatory High School sophomore.
Police said at the time of the shooting that the victim suffered from a non-life-threatening injury after he was shot in the abdomen.
