PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As the FAA grapples with air traffic control staffing shortages across the country, passengers are facing flight delays and cancellations.

There are no federal rules requiring airlines to provide passengers with compensation, like meal vouchers or a hotel stay, for delayed or canceled flights.

“The current administration has retracted the rules that were proposed under the previous administration in regards to consumer rights when you’re flying,” said Julian Kheel, the founder of Points Path. “That means you are not necessarily going to see those rights that you maybe had expected.”
