Niagara Region councillors paid their respects to their former chair, Jim Bradley, with a moment of silence last Thursday during the first full meeting of council since his death on Sept. 26.
Coun. Tim Rigby while mayor of St. Catharines from 1997 to 2003 worked closely with Bradley, who was MPP for St. Catharines during that time. They were also colleagues at the Region during Bradley’s terms as chair beginning in 2018.
“Much has been written over the past several weeks about the monumental things Jim has achieved during his 41 years as MPP, but far less about his accomplishments as regional chair,” said Rigby, who has represented St. Catharines as a regional councillor for 28 years.
