EDEN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Law enforcement arrested a man on Sunday morning, accused of starting fires at a motel and in a remote area in Jerome County.
Joseph Agnew, 62, faces felony charges of first-degree arson, third-degree arson, malicious injury to property, possession of a controlled substance and destruction of evidence, according to court records. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and petit theft.
Affidavits from the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office state that a deputy began pursuing Agnew, driving a Toyota Camry gifted to him as a retirement gift around two weeks prior, in Devil’s Corral around 6:50 a.m.
