SPOKANE, Wash. — A second suspect connected to the fatal shooting of another man in the Logan neighborhood last Friday was arrested on Tuesday.
Nineteen-year-old Marius A. Velazquez was taken into custody on a warrant for murder, according to the Spokane Police Department (SPD).
On Friday, Oct. 17, Spokane police responded to the area of East Mission Avenue and North Cincinnati around 7 p.m. for a reported shooting.
SPD says officers found a a man, later identified as Shawn Cranford, with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
One week later, Zachery McGriff, the man accused of shooting Cranford, faced a Spokane County judge.
