SALT LAKE CITY — Raising kids with strong values — like honesty — isn’t always easy in today’s world. But one Utah mom is hoping to make it a little simpler through storytelling.
Stephanie Goodman, an author and illustrator from Orem, has released a new children’s book titled “Timmy The Termite: It Was This Big”, a playful yet powerful tale that teaches kids the importance of telling the truth.
A story that hits home
The book follows Timmy, a young termite who tells a tall tale about being chased by a giant red ant. But as the story unfolds, Timmy learns a valuable lesson about honesty and the consequences of stretching the truth.
“I told a lie,” Goodman reads from her book. “I was jealous of all the fun things my friends did over the summer.”
