Homeowners have until the end of the year to apply for a federally funded housing program that helps repair and rebuild homes damaged by Tropical Storm Helene.

The deadline to apply for the state’s Renew NC Single Family Housing Program is Dec. 31, according to a news release from Pisgah Legal Services. Launched in June, the program provides grants of up to $50,000 for home repairs and up to $450,000 for home rebuilding and replacement.
