A major new manufacturing project is coming to Hendersonville, set to create 193 new jobs.
Michigan-based auto parts maker BorgWarner plans to build a $75 million factory in Hendersonville, Gov. Josh Stein announced in an Oct. 28 news release.
“I am pleased that BorgWarner will deepen its roots in western North Carolina. This decision reaffirms our ranking as the best state to do business, highlights our thriving automotive industry, and invests in our manufacturing economy in western North Carolina at a time when it’s sorely needed,” Stein said in the release.
BorgWarner supplies parts and technology to every major auto maker in the world, according to the release. The planned 220,000-square-foot factory will be the company’s second in North Carolina, it said. Annual average salary is
