SOUTHWEST MISSOURI — Thousands of people in the United States are expected to be impacted following the announcement of SNAP benefits set to be frozen starting on Saturday, Nov. 1.
According to an Ozarks Food Harvest social media post, the organization has alerted residents around southwest Missouri of the faith-based and community charities to help aid families and individuals who may be affected.
Here are some of the pantries listed by the food harvest: • Barry County: Cassville Pantry: located at 800 West 10th Street in Cassville, which is open from 9 to 11:30 a.m. from Monday to Thursday. Central Community UMC: located at 25682 State Highway YY in Shell Knob, which is open every first Friday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. Helping Hands Community Food Pantry: located at 32685 St
