There’s no Blue Jays lineup out yet because the team is still making a decision on George Springer’s status, manager John Schneider told media. He described Springer as “hour-to-hour, day-to-day.”

Springer left last night’s game with right side discomfort after a seemingly normal swing in the top of the seventh inning.

He had already been dealing with a right knee contusion from when he was hit by a pitch there in Game 5 of the ALCS against the Mariners. His status was questionable after that injury, but he stuck around in the Jays lineup and hit Toronto’s biggest home run in 32 years in Game 7, putting Toronto on top and sending the team to the World Series.

If the Blue Jays decide Springer can’t play for the rest of the series, they can petition Major League Baseball to replace him on
