CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was carjacked by a person with a gun in Uptown’s Fourth Ward ON Tuesday morning, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.
It happened on N. Graham Street around 3 a.m., the report stated.
The victim told police a person threatened him with a firearm before taking his 2022 Dodge Charger.
“I mean, it’s really terrible to hear,” Brayan Reyes, who lives in Fourth Ward, said. “I live here locally, so it’s one of those things that you’re always thinking of.”
City leaders have emphasized reducing crime in the Uptown area and established the Center City Public Safety Task Force over the summer.
