SAVANNAH. Ga. (WSAV) — Over the past six months, Chatham County Resilience Program has collected data and information in hopes to create a more sustainable future.
Electric vehicle registrations in Georgia increased 33% between 2023 and 2024. Chatham County had more than 2,000 electric vehicle registrations alone.
Chatham County officials saw a need to re-evaluate the infrastructure of the coastal land before planning for charging stations. After the analysis was completed, the community input was next on the agenda.
Chatham County officials, as well as Savannah leaders, led a vision session Tuesday to talk to the community.
