McKinney residents and visitors gathered at McKinney National Airport on Oct. 26 to see a variety of aircraft at the Display Day event.

The gist

The inaugural event at McKinney National Airport featured a range of aircraft on display, including emergency medical services helicopters, drones, corporate jets and Civil Air Patrol planes. The McKinney Fire Department displayed vehicles at the event, including a new aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle. In addition to the displays, local flight school officials, tenants at the airport and airport representatives were on-site.

The event, initially scheduled for Oct. 25, was rescheduled to Oct. 26 due to forecasted rain.
