EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Eighth graders from across the Tri-State gathered in downtown Evansville to explore future career options.

Students engaged with businesses from various sectors, including construction, engineering, farming, and teaching, to learn about different professions.

"This is that hands-on experiential learning that is so important for our eighth graders to get that spark to see those possibilities that will one day be available to them as they are our future workforce," said Melissa Bassemier, director of development for Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana.
