BOSTON (WWLP) - The Trump Administration is ending SNAP benefits for the 1.1 million Bay Staters who rely on them at the end of the week. Attorney generals across the country say that's illegal.

Attorney General Andrea Campbell joined over 100 advocates on the State House steps on Tuesday, calling on the federal government to reinstate benefits.

The AG is taking a legal route, leading other AGs and governors to sue the Trump administration, saying that despite the USDA's claims of insufficient funds, the agency has more than enough funding in emergency reserves for situations just like this one.
