PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The fight over the federal deployment of troops in Portland could shift again with a court deadline looming, and unless the higher court intervenes, Oregon could see troops on the streets of Portland on Tuesday night.
Attorneys representing Oregon and the Trump administration were back in district court Tuesday afternoon as Judge Karen Immergut held a conference ahead of a three-day trial set to start tomorrow.
Judge Immergut did not share whether she had decided to keep her second temporary restraining order in place — the one blocking the president from deploying out-of-state troops — despite saying she would have a decision by Monday.
But she did bring up some concerns that she plans to have addressed in trial, such as Exhibit 202, an email she said appears to
