WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Emilia Hollingshed is only 1 year old, but she has already earned her battle stripes.

Diagnosed this year with a rare form of germ cell cancer, Emilia—known as Emmy to her parents—began her fight before she was even born.

“It literally started to form as she started to form,” said her father, Wyman Hollingshed. "Literally the first few cells that are formed as a human being."

The cancer developed in the first few cells of her life , making Emmy's diagnosis a shock to her parents, Erialis and Wyman.

“Her doctor was actually letting us know she's actually like the third patient she's seen with this," said her mom, Erialis Hollingshed

Emmy is currently in her third round of chemotherapy, out of four rounds. The entire treatment will last around 90 days. So far, the
