When the New York Giants last played at MetLife Stadium, they produced a 34-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles that was the team’s most impressive performance in several years.
Since then, though, the Giants have been unable to capitalize in a pair of road games. They blew a 19-0 lead to the Denver Broncos in the fourth quarter, losing 33-32. Then, they lost a rematch to the Eagles, 38-20.
The Giants now limp home at 2-6 to face the 5-3 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
This will be the Giants’ first game without running back Cam Skattebo, out for the season after suffering a dislocated ankle vs. the Eagles. The Giants are 2.5-point underdogs, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
