Mobile, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile City Council voted Tuesday to revoke the business license of Phat Tuesday Sports Bar, following hundreds of police calls to the bar in the last couple of years.

The vote passed 5-0, with two council members, C.J. Small and Cory Penn, abstaining from the vote. The decision will take effect when Mayor Sandy Stimpson signs it.

Phat Tuesday owner Rick Johnson asked for a compromise, an idea brought up by city council.

"If in fact, we can come to a compromise, I'm willing to do that. But I think I got the safest business in the city," Johnson said.

Council President C.J. Small said it was too late.
