The man arrested after the deadly mass shooting at Lincoln University on Saturday night was carrying a handgun that matched a spent cartridge recovered from the crime scene, officials said during a Tuesday press conference.
Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said, as of Tuesday, no new charges have been filed against 21-year-old Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, who was arrested Saturday night for carrying an unlicensed firearm.
However, Morgan-Thompson’s bail was increased from $25,000 to $1 million on Tuesday.
The shooting, which took place around 9:30 p.m. outside the International Cultural Center (ICC) amid homecoming festivities, injured six people and killed Jujuan Jeffers, 20, of Wilmington, Delaware.
