WILLIAMSPORT — An admitted Columbia County cocaine dealer has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for providing fentanyl to three current or former Bloomsburg University students in 2022, one of whom died.

Tysheem Dunlap, 25, apologized to the victims Tuesday before he was sentenced by U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann.

Dunlap had been found guilty in May of charges that accused him of providing cocaine containing fentanyl that killed Edward Heckler early on Aug. 20, 2022.

Jurors also convicted him on two counts each of distribution of controlled substances resulting in serious injury and distribution of a controlled substance.

The victims in those charges were Jade Mallin and Noah Shipman, who had overdosed but were revived.
