GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — The 19-year-old accused in the murder case of East Valley teen Preston Lord was arrested in September on violating a court order related to a separate case, Arizona’s Family has learned.

According to Gilbert police, officers took two reports on Sept. 5 over in-person and electronic contact to a victim who has an order of protection against Talyn Vigil. Later that day, authorities found Vigil and took him into custody on violations of a court order.

Authorities said those orders of protection aren’t related to the murder case involving Preston Lord.

According to police, Vigil was held at the Gilbert-Chandler Unified Holding Facility for his initial appearance. Police also said the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and pre-trial services were contacted about Vigi
