MANCHESTER, Conn. — A man was charged and remains in the hospital Tuesday after being shot during an exchange of gunfire with Manchester police on Interstate 84 in East Hartford early Saturday morning.
Samuel Lee, 39, of Manchester, is facing charges of criminal attempt/assault in the first degree, assault on public safety personnel, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, interfering with an officer, operation of a motor vehicle while license is suspended, reckless driving and improper use of a marker plate.
