LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — With a current expansion set to wrap up in December, Durango Casino & Resort will move ahead with a $385 million project beginning in January, adding a 36-lane bowling alley, a luxury movie theater, new restaurants and multiple entertainment venues, the company announced on Tuesday.
8 News Now reported the additions on Oct. 16 after documents were submitted to Clark County. A news release today said the project will take 18 months to complete.
Phase 2 in the resort's development will also add 400 slot machines to an expanded casino area. When phase 1 is finished in December, 230 new slots will go into operation — 120 in a new high-limit area and bar. Phase 1 also included expanded parking to accommodate growth as expansion continues.
