MCLEAN CO., Ky. (WFIE) - A custodian for the McLean County School District is in jail on child sexual abuse charges.

Jail records show 54-year-old Lloyd Vanover, of Rumsey, was booked into the Daviess County Jail Tuesday.

He’s charged with sexual abuse of a child and distribution of obscene matter to minors.

Online employment records show Vanover has been a custodian for the district since at least 2020.

Superintendent Tommy Burrough shared the following:

“Thank you for your email. We have just been informed of this late this afternoon and we are starting our investigation.”

This is a Kentucky State Police case. We’ve reached out to them for more information.

Vanover is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
