EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police Department official say a man is in jail after a person showed up to Deaconess Midtown with a stab wound.

Officers say the victim showed up to the hospital with the suspect 25-year-old Christopher Young.

According to the victim, the two got into a fight which ended with Young stabbing them in the chest.

Police say Young tried to get the victim to lie about it to doctors and also told officers a different story about what happened, however, police say Young’s story was not consistent with the evidence and injuries.

He’s being held without bond and faces the following charges:

Aggravated Battery

Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon
